Esnad made their first step towards building their name as a truly international logistics and courier company in 2006. They started their journey as a cargo company and later acquired an express courier license, which made them the 11th courier company to get this license in KSA. Now more than 10 years later, Esnad Express has grown into a multinational logistics company.
Esnad achieved market coverage across 80% cities of Saudi Arabia once they acquired the license, just six months after launching operations in the Kingdom. Logistics Middle East spoke with the founders of the Esnad Express, to find out how.
“Esnad was established in the KSA in 2006, but we have more than 20 years’ cumulative experience in the logistics and last-mile sector,†says Muhammad Omer Tayyeb, COO and co-founder. “We entered with smart technology to cater to the booming e-commerce sector in logistics, with the aim of changing the ways logistics work in the Middle East.â€
“We have the best customer care center to serve our customers’ queries 24/7. Every parcel is tracked by our customer care team to get it delivered with 100% success rate,†adds Tayyeb.
“Our mission is to grow our client business by getting their documents, parcels and freight where they need to go, overcoming hurdles like borders, distance, cultures, language, and currencies,†says Bader Al Ajrfi, chairman and co-founder, Esnad Express.
“At Esnad Express, we understand that the quality of the relationship with our customers is as important as the delivery of the shipment as promised. We all have customers, but at Esnad Express, we interact with people that work for customers. It’s people that appreciate our special attention, true care and respect. This creates a quality relationship and loyalty, gratifying for all and good for business. And that’s why we are the way we are,†adds Bader.
Operating a fleet of more than 250 vehicles with GPS tracking and online tracking for customers, they aim to use technology to enhance their logistics solutions. “As technology is our core concept, we believe in technology,†says Li Jun, CEO and co-founder.
“We provide high-end vehicles with GPS so that our drivers can deliver the shipments on time at the right location. We have online tracking as well so our drivers can deliver the shipment without disturbing the consignee with frequent calls to inquire for the location,†he adds. “We have our own warehouse sorting department to make sure shipments go to the right place.â€
“Bahrain is a new gateway we are opening to KSA for e-commerce companies to give them fast entry into KSA through the Causeway,†says Mutlaq Zaid Al Faraj, vice chairman and co-founder. “We would cover the eastern province through Bahrain and the clearance. We are also planning to launch the same services inside Bahrain for all the e-commerce companies as we have established in KSA.â€
“Today we have a direct international presence in over 5 countries including KSA, UAE, Bahrain, China, Hong Kong, and we are soon emerging to other countries as well. Apart from this, we’ve expanded our end-to-end solutions services outside the Middle East to South-East Asia, and Far-East region of the globe,†adds Faraj.
Today, Esnad Express is a one-stop store for all e-tail services, offering tailor-made solutions like multi-vendor management, tech development, warehousing & fulfilment, cross-border solutions, last-mile delivery, reverse logistics management, Cash-On-Delivery, same-day delivery and more.
